All standing rigging is new in 2010. The teak bracket for the liferaft cradle was replaced. The exterior wood has been varnished. The liferaft was recertified in September 2009. This certification is good for three years. The work is in addition to all other annual maitenance. The photo of the stern shows the ladder, but that area is currently used for the monitor windvane and the ladder is not currently installed, but is available. |

Fantastic example of a Dick Carter one ton IOR cruiser racer. Invariably mistaken for the older S&S Swan. Hull was moulded in Greece in 1974 brought back to Berthons, UK in 1976 to be finished internally to a very high specification with superb mahogany and teak finishes throughout. Refurbished in Trinidad in 2006/7, she is now lying in Florida where she is having a reconditioned Perkins engine installed. Equipped for blue water cruising, full bimini, solar panel, wind generator, 6 volt heavy duty batteries, computer linked navigational system, brand new AB dinghy with new 6 hp 4 stroke Tohatsu outboard, new RFD liferaft, stainless steel Taylor stove, new heavy duty Harken furling system, Lofrans electric windlass, fully battened main, etc. A delightful boat to sail, which will compete in any regatta, but has been cruised extensively from England via Europe to Caribbean and US. Misty is a wonderful cruising boat that is also somewhat competitive in ocean racing (Overall winner in Ponce Inlet to St. Augustine race in 2007.) She is a comfortable, sturdy sailor that can take rough weather with grace. She's in good shape for a 25 year old boat. Misty is a well built boat with lots of interior and cockpit space.
